The director of my high school, Xavier School, has recently added me as a "son" in Multiply. I'm wondering if he's adding Xavierians (and former Xavierians) randomly just because we're in the record, or if he's adding us because he knows us personally and/or stuff-like-that,-you-know-what-i-mean. So I devised this simple experiment to verify the above.
Theoretically, if his intentions are of the former, then he will most definitely not take notice of this post. (This doesn't apply conversely[1], of course.) That would indicate a more preacherly/friendsterly[2] stance, as opposed to actually getting involved in discourse and/or socialization.
Likewise, if his intentions are of the latter, a positive result should occur, which is to say, he will reply/make a comment on this post. (Because he will have read this part of the post. :P If that were to be the case, Hi Fr. Go!)
[1] Of course, this test isn't perfect, and numerous factors may interfere with the result. A negative result will be inconclusive (i.e. we aren't sure if his intentions are of the former or not, because it's possible that he was busy at the time or something). However, a positive result is conclusive. (i.e. he replied, and for him to do that, he must've seen the post title, generally proving that his intentions are of the former)
[2] Pertaining to the usual behavior of friendster weirdos. Who just add for the sake of adding.
P.S. Anyone is welcome to comment.
P.P.S. Let the experiment begin.
 | Someone's got too much time to think :)) |
 | Corollary: If he tries to add me too, then we'll know he is adding Xaverians. =P
The former doesn't necessitate your conclusion though. He could very well be adding random Xaverians but taking notice of them anyway. =D Keeping watch over his flock, or some priestly/fatherly/directorly thing like that. |
 | @vince: well, I was actually trying to say that, but for some reason it couldn't come out in a non-accusatory way. So I thought, meh. I'll just remove that bit. |
 | HAHAHAHA labo! inadd nya rin ako eh, or vice versa d ko maalala=)) |
 | grafspee wrote on Feb 25, '08, edited on Feb 25, '08 nice test levi! :D but what if this 'fr.go' who added you is a prankster? |
 | im his SON too LEVI, been his son for a couple of weeks now :)) |
 | it's not, it's the real deal, the big schlong himself |
 | i agree wu, levi thought of this one too much |
 | @Darren: We will see. :P @Wu and Chris: Chemistry has ruined me. T_T |
 | and dont count on fr. johnny checking, he seldom checks other multiply blogs but his own when he posts daily homily, he's self centered that way :)) hahahaha JOKE! can't the clergy take a joke??? |
 | hahaha well what would u say if i've already told him to check out ur blog? hence, the test is contaminated and is no longer reliable |
 | "hence, the test is not contaminated and is no longer reliable" ? NOT contaminated? |
 | hahahaha i think i was going to say not reliable, but then my train of thought veered away to a ym window and when i shifted back, new train of thought, didn't read the old one, just kept typing :D
|
 | I have never heard of school officials uh....who have accounts to sites like Multiply, the ones I know will never get them. :P |
 | gemso wrote on Feb 26, '08 Um, if u weren't sure if it was really Fr Go why did u accept, and why not pop a message over to his end? :) |
 | I *am* sure it's Fr. Go. Bong told me. lol His word is good enough for me.
Also, he does post homilies and stuff, so that's pretty much a giveaway. |
 | why didn't he add me ? *tear* XD |
 | Maybe he's keeping a close eye on us unreligious people. :P |
 | ahahaha that's what i thought, he added me after i made fun of him on bongs blog :)) |
